My interest in American Art began in 1971 when I became associated with Gallery West, of Denver Colorado. There, I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting and working with some of the greatest collectors and collections of Western American Art. I learned at the time that there was much more to collecting art than simply the purchase of a painting.

Research and education is an equally important element of establishing a good collection, understanding it, and finally being able to enjoy it to its fullest. As a result, research has been a prominent portion of my business.

I have been involved in several art research projects as a consultant; some projects have been done solely for a collector and some have been published.

My time is equally divided between buying, selling and researching paintings and their artists.
